Ampeleia
Established in 2002 in Roccatederighi, a medieval town in the province of Grosseto (Tuscan Coast), Ampeleia is managed by a group of young people including Elisabetta Foradori and Marco Tait, who took the reins when he was just 22.
The 40 hectares of vineyards of Ampeleia are certified organic and cultivated biodynamically. A model of biodiversity, they are planted on three different levels of altitude varying from 200 to 600 meters above sea level.
The character of Ampeleia has its roots in Cabernet Franc, the grape variety that best expresses the identity of the terroirs, while at the same time telling its story.
Apart from Cabernet Franc, other varietals are used to produce the range of wines from Ampeleia, including Alicante (Grenache), Mourvedre, Carignano, Sangiovese and Alicante Bouschet.
