Tasting Note
Wine Enthusiast 91
An abundance of fresh strawberries and cherries is sprinkled with saffron, coriander and crushed green peppercorn. Fresh earth and vanilla pod add depth and perfume to the nose. Rose petals immediately greet the palate, while sanguine and stone fill the midpalate. Mouth-coating tannins frame this wine beautifully, adding depth and texture.

Winery
The Picard family has established itself as a reference in the Burgundy region by producing cuvées from prestigious terroirs, utilizing biodynamic practices and treating their vineyards with the care typically reserved for Grand Crus.
In addition to their haute-couture selection, Au pied du Mont Chauve, they also own Domaine Levert-Barault, the oldest vineyard in Mercurey. Spanning just ten hectares of organically cultivated land, this estate has been delivering wines with remarkable ascendance in recent vintages.
It has become the new sensation of the Côte Chalonnaise, a treasure to be seized before it becomes widely recognized.
