Ferrer Bobet Priorat, 2017, 750ML

Founded by two well known figures in Spanish wine industry, Sergi Ferrer and Raul Bobet with the goal of producing a Priorat that reflects purity, harmony and a distinct mineral character of the terroir where is produced.

Ferrer Bobet is located in Porrera, one of the coolest terroirs of Priorat due to the influence of a north-easterly winds, combined with very steep vineyards and a strong temperature variation between day and nights, guaranteeing fresh acidity, while achieving optimal phenolic ripeness.

The winery have 20 hectares of vines planted between 2004 and 2006 and rent a further 10 hectares of 70+-year-old vines, all within the limits of the village. All the vineyards are exclusively grown on the famous slate soils known as "Llicorella"

A blend of 65% Cariñena, 25% Garnacha, 15% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

Fermentation takes place in small 15 and 30 hectoliter vats, so that each parcel can be vinified individually. Most of the vats are made from oak.

The wines are aged in fine-grained French oak barriques during a minimum period of fifteen months and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
