Ampeleia is a winery established in 2002 in the Maremma region (Tuscany). It's located in Roccatederighi, a medieval town in the province of Grosseto, and managed by a group of young people including and Elisabetta Foradori and guided by the vineyard manager Marco Tait.
Alicante Nero is a native variety of Upper Maremma, which was removed to make space for other varieties with deeper colours and fuller body.
Vinified with 20% whole cluster, and matured for 10 months in concrete tanks.
