Petty pale lemon and lime colour. Not too much bouquet up front but a little more fruit weight than Champ Canet. 5 barrels. Sturdy stuff, a little oatmeal, good acidity, more volume and structure. The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru is the finest of three bottled wines that I tasted from Pernot-Belicard. Taut and fresh with touches of sea spray on the nose, this articulates in terroir with style. The palate is well balanced with citrus peel, mandarin and grapefruit notes, cohesive with a fine bead of acidity and gentle grip on the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.
