Tasting Note
Burghound 88-90 Allen Meadows
Moderate wood frames spicy aromas of mainly plum and floral elements, especially violet. There is both good energy and detail to the lacy middleweight flavors that terminate in a youthfully austere finale where a hint of bitter pit fruit character slowly emerges.

Winery
Jean-Michel Guillon, originally from Paris, switched to winemaking in Gevrey-Chambertin after retiring from aeronautics in 1980. Known for his fondness for new oak barrels, he humorously calls himself "the biggest oak barrel consumer" in the area.
He established a prestigious Domaine with support from friends like Rene Galland and the renowned Henri Jayer. Their wines, spanning esteemed appellations such as Mazis-Chambertin and Clos de Vougeot, reflect a distinct Pinot Noir style praised by critics like Allen Meadows.
In 2020, Jean-Michel Guillon was elected as "Winemaker of the Year 2020" by Guide Hachette (Wine Guide Book)
