Originally purchased in the 1950s as part of the larger grazing farm Bundaleer, Bindi is a 170 hectare farm of which 7 hectares are planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Located in the north-west of Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges, is property of the Dhillon family.
Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir
Block 5 is a 1 hectare vineyard, situated at 500m of altitude and was planted back in 1992 over shattered quartz, siltstone, sandstone and clay soils. Since 2005 is grown organically.
The grapes are partially destemmed, fermented in open top vats, and aged for 15-17 months in French barrels of which about 35% are new.
