In 1968 Fontodi was purchased by the Manetti family. (famous for the terracota tiles in the Chianti region).
The estate is certified organic and has around 70 hectares of vines planted. They have a great passion for quality and an immense respect and care for the Sangiovese grape.
In the cellar the all processes are done by gravity, and fermentations are made with wild yeast in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.
100% Syrah, from Colli Toscana Centrale, coming from the Case Via and Pecille vineyards, both exposed to south.
Matured in oak barrels from the Troncais and Allier forest for 12 months, 50% new. Organic
