Single vineyard in the Paardeberg Mountain. The vineyard was planted in 1983, all bush vines and dryland farmed. Since 2014 organic farmed methods are used, with no chemicals sprayed on the vines and soils. Soils are mostly decomposed granite with south-west facing slope.
Vinification: Pre-oxidation of the must is allowed before fermentation. 90% of the wine was fermented in Stainless Steel tanks at cooler temperature and the rest was in older 300L barrels. 20% of grapes were whole bunch fermented on skins for 2 weeks. Aged in 7 months 90% in stainless steel and 10% old wood. No filtration, no finning.
