The grapes are coming from Leongatha giving a natural tension in the wine. This is grown at Leongatha South, South Gippsland, Victoria. Bass Phillip uses close planting, extremely low cropping.
In order to reveal the terroir we choose not to exceed more than 20% new oak, the window to enjoy the wine is between 3 to 5 years.
The grapes are whole bunch pressed, and barrel fermented and barrel aged in 20% new oak for 14 months. Partial malolactic. No fining or filtration. Organic and Biodynamic.
