Champagne Egly-Ouriet was founded after the Second World War when Francis Egly's grandfather started making wine with 3 hectares of vines in the Grand Cru Ambonnay.
All the wines are fermented with natural yeasts in barrels. The malolactic fermentation is blocked to maintain the freshness.
