Single vineyard in the Paardeberg region, between Paarl and Malmesbury on the West Coast. The vineyard was planted in 1990, high density and dryland farmed. Since 2013 organic farmed methods are used, with no chemicals sprayed on the vines and soils. Soils are mostly decomposed granite with Malmesbury shale, siting on south-west facing slopes.
Vinification: The grapes are fermented 100% whole bunch, crushed, with one punch down daily. Aged for 11 months in old French Oak barrels (4year+). No filtration no finning.
